Wonderful Cake Recipe

I was cruising over at Pinterest and I constantly find all these wonderful dessert recipes that I want to try…soo this year that is what I am going to do, try something new and see if I like it.  Of course my hubby won’t mind that, but some of the recipes may make the kids decide to have Ramen noodles for dinner…lol
First I tried the TheCountryCook.net’s recipe for Coca-Cola Cake! And trust me it was WONDERFUL! She has so many great recipes on her site I will probably test a few of them out first and foremost! Smile
Here is the photos of the cake I made using her recipe:

It was super moist and has the best taste! I recommend stopping by her site and printing off a few new recipes for the new year!
Thanks for the awesome recipe Country Cook Blog Author-Brandie!
My hubby and kids all loved it…but two of the children picked the nuts off the top and added them to my plate, which I didn’t mind at all. lol
Hugs all for a great day!

Lots of fun stuff going on around here…

January Journal Me This Challenge at Plain Digital Wrapper.com.

Go here to join in and see all the journaling prompts available!

I am trying take 52 weeks of photos again this year…I failed miserably last year.  I even started out thinking I might try the 365 challenge, but the second day of the year I didn’t get a lot of time and then on the 4th day of the year so far was kind of a heartbreaking for us so I just didn’t feel like taking any photos of anything.  I am sure you all have had days like that as well.

I also had a couple of new kits just at the years end and the new years beginning…

At PlainDigitalWrapper.com I have “Winter Happiness” kit:

There are also a couple of other great challenges in our forum:

One is the Piece Wrapping Challenge for January that has a wonderful free kit with it.  The catch is you have to scrap a page using all the pieces in the kit…sounds easy but sometimes it can be a real stinker! lol

Find it here: PIECE WRAPPING CHALLENGE

The second one is Give Me Space Challenge.  A wonderful way to learn that elusive task of creating a layout with negative space in it.  It can make for a very dramatic layout.  This month she has included a free kit to use for the challenge as well.

Find it here: GIVE ME SPACE CHALLENGE

In case you still have Holiday photos that you need to scrap there were several kits that I had out before Christmas.

Over at DaisesandDimples.com I had a couple of new additions as well…

This month’s Pick-A-Daisy sets are here  and a great deal for a $1 a set! Stop by the Pick-A-Daisy category to see all the other sets from various other designers!

Grab our matching $1.00 Pick-A-Daisy deals while the sale lasts. Sale ends January 7th!

Here are some pages I made using my pick-a-daisy sets:

Fall is here! YAY!

Are you all celebrating with me! I am so glad it is fall! Now if it would just stay cool and stop with the 90° days...but hey, it's Texas....lol We went to my paternal family reunion yesterday at the park, it was fun, but it eventually got a little hot. We had tons of good food and lots of laughs. I got to see lots of people I haven't seen in forever! All in all it was a great day. I have had two new kits to the Plain Digital Wrapper Store this past week. Retro Fall Mini and Fall Chic.

Here are a few layouts made using the Fall Chic kit:

By: me  (My hubby and his two grandbabies.)

By me (My dd and step-dd and their babies)

By: me ( My step-dd and her dd Brooklynn)

By: me (all my kids and my grandbaby)

By: Scraps of Candy (love this page! the pout is adorable)

Stay tuned for several up coming freebies! As soon as I can get them all packaged and uploaded! :)
